during our first sembreak of semester 2, a group of 5 friends decided make a great escape to malacca of inheriting new experiences and moments one could ever captured but themselves in a day. Along our voyage we made a few stops at somewhat confidential places we've never thought of but intended to explore anyways...

one of the highlights in our trip was the chance to discover a small hidden museum some may describe as "first submarine museum" allocated in pantai klebang, malacca featured with 2 fighter jets and of course it's iconic submarine that we were able to explore the interior of it rather than just being dumbfounded people staring at it outside under a blazing hot weather that period of moment, thus we began to start our engines on grabbing some information of it's designs and histories.

we initiated our investigation by roaming around the section area where the fighter jets were at, intriguing enough not only it contains those fighter jets but there were pilot mannequins filled with equipment sets aligned beside each fighter jet.

THE EXTERIOR OF THE FIGHTER JETS TUDM M29-01 AND M29-02 WITHOUT IT'S HOMING MISSILES DEPLOYED UNDER THEIR WINGS.

MANNEQUINS DRESSED AS PILOTS WITH IT'S EQUIPMENT ORIENTED ALIGNED BESIDE EACH FIGHTER JETS.

WE BEGAN OUR NEXT INVESTIGATION WHICH IS BASICALLY THE MUSEUM'S MAIN FEATURE THE SCORPENE-CLASS SUBMARINE A.K.A KD TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN, our first actual malaysia submarine constructed at the harbor of toulon, france and cartagena, spain WHERE IT IS CAPABLE TO CARRY 10 TORPEDOS, 30 LAND MINES AND EQUIPPED WITH 6 TUBES OF MISSILES WHICH ARE ANTI-SHIP/SUBMARINE MISSILE TORPEDO PRECISELY.

THE EXTERIOR OF MALAYSIA'S FIRST SCORPENE-CLASS SUBMARINE, NAMED KD TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN.

BEING FASCINATED BY THE SUBMARINE'S FLESH, WE THEN HEAD ON TO OBSERVE THE SKELETON OF IT'S BODY AND WERE UTTERLY SURPRISED BY SO MANY THINGS STUFFED WITH SUCH LITTLE SPACE OCCUPIED TO MOVE, TALK ABOUT CLAUSTROPHOBIC OF LIMITED SPACE GIVEN...  HERE ARE SOME PICTURES TO INDICATE THE INTERIOR.

tHIS SCORPENE SUBMARINE IS USING A NEW VERSION OF ELECTRIC-DIESEL ENGINE WHEREBY IT SPEEDS UP AROUND 20 KNOTS (37KM) AND  ALSO ARMED WITH ADVANCED NAVIGATION SYSTEM KNOWN AS "SUBTICS".

THE HALLWAY BETWEEN THE FACE AND BACK OF THE SCORPENE SUBMARINE.

THE DEVELOPER OF THE SUBMARINE IS DEFENCE CONSELL NATIONAL (DCN) WHICH IS A FRANCE SHIP FIRM WITH ITS PARTNER FROM NAVANTIA, SPAIN.

Overall we were pleased to have this opportunity spending some valuable time visiting this small museum to gather beneficial information upon our country's first ever scorpene-class submarine and those fighting jets while goofing around inside the submarine.

the Staatliches bauhaus, commonly known as ''house of building'' was founded by an architecture protagonist named walter gropius  where it's stronghold was allocated in Weimar, Germany. Though having lifespan of 14 years, it's past existence took a radical impact upon the fields of art, design and architecture even as of today. furthermore, such influential concept has turned the game in establishing it's importance towards the revolution of art movement specifically in modernism till today.

As a new seed(designer) trying to evolve into a successful big plant, i preferably think that the creativity mindset walter gropius had developed really set a new standard for the likes fine arts & crafts which he stepped out his comfort zone investing most of his time in his ideology of bauhaus to an absolute masterpiece that we can witness it until today.

minimalist/minimalism, arguably the best description i can think of what this simplicity concept bauhaus movement was trying to imply which successfully achieved since then. until today, such authentic innovation and basic idea from it's philosopher has really interpreted our thoughts and new perspectives into a sense of diverse choices towards purchasing furniture or even designing our very own house interior following the footsteps of bauhaus movement.

Contemporary interior design innovated by the bauhaus movement.

The Bauhaus geometric cradle created by Peter Keler.

Without disbelieving, architecture is commonly reigned as the prime factor of the Bauhaus movement where It's legacy has spread over a century upon modern building styles. Over a few simple geometrical shapes to start with, then came upon complexity of angles which what makes this art movement so simple yet shining unto it's uniqueness and elegance with it's capacity of growing over the years until today.

idea of Modern architecture building complying the Bauhaus style.

sample of an architecture building Bauhaus style.

Past, present or future, i utmost believe the art movement that walter gropius created will assuredly to be living for a long time with Bauhaus movement sustaining the core successfully upon fine art, design, architecture and many more. therefore, it goes to show that the Bauhaus movement is arguably one of the most triumphant ideas in the world.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE

KNOWN AS A virtuoso in multitasking, Luca Idili, an enthusiast artist who overcame many job experiences such as bartender, painter and a manager at a corporate industry decided to have a talk with us in taylor's lakeside. rest assured, he began to explain about his stern motivation about the background of his paintings to us how painting has brought upon who he is today, the joy of painting that is.

progression in comparison of his past paintings.

luca idili idealizing the form of structuring still life painting.

a show of evidence indicating teh tarik is his favorite drink in malaysia.

the infamous tun abdul razak art painting.

we had him proudly talking about One of his best paintings, the ''Iron Man'' was sold to his client.

him having a talk of pipe water catching his interest to paint when visiting Malaysia.

Having to fathom that one of the major interest has brought him to success in life, what caught my attention during the workshop was definitely him discussing the drastic changes during his youth era. he then said "you are always welcome to meet failures in life before success" has made me to realise that in life is not always about meeting your expectations as of always expecting to be prosperous but likewise ready to never give up when during the downfall. With that, it really got me thinking deep of the little things i've took for granted in life hence waking me up to rise up and make a difference in my identity. Thank you, Luca Idili.

For Almost 50 decades in time, the well known "Douglas Super DC-3 airplane  allocated at Sólheimasandur beach holds a rich mysterious history, leaving people with no pristine answer to be judge with it's uncertain crash as of only the body of the plane remained excluding its tail and wings.

EVER SINCE THE PLANE HAS BEEN DESOLATED AFTER THE UKNOWN CRASH AT Sólheimasandur beach, THE ABANDONED OBJECT'S BEEN A VERY POPULAR SITE AMONG MANY PEOPLE TO VISIT AND MOST ASSUREDLY PHOTOGRAPHERS TO GET INSPIRATIONS UPON TAKING ASTOUNDING PICTURES. LIKEWISE, IT'S REVOLUTION HAS MADE INTO MOST PEOPLE'S BUCKET LIST TO EXPERIENCE THROUGH REALITY AS OF THIS FORSAKEN PLANE BY EYES AND THAT INCLUDES ME, IT WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE A DREAM COME TRUE TO FINALLY WITNESS THIS SCENE BY MY VERY OWN EYES AND TO PHOTOGRAPH THIS HISTORICAL SITE.

THE ART AND I ARE ONE

26/11/2016

Way back in January 2015, my family and I went for a familiar voyage towards Bangkok,Thailand. What I didn't foresee is, I never knew Thailand has a really enormous cultural strength in the taste of art(3 dimensional to be precise) hence listing down one of our to-go places in Bangkok. Upon it's popularity, one of the most curated 3d Art museums to speculate which i assume it is, was located in this museum named 'Art In Paradise' at Khet Din Daeng, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon. I myself, feel amazed by the community of Thailand to have such astounding talents among them to create such fine art for visitors to spectate and be appreciated by their gift in Art. Here are some pictures I'd gathered throughout our visitation.

Zaha Hadid

2/12/2016

Definitely one of the most prestigious architect bound in history, Zaha Hadid had gotten to ignite the fire in me i once hadupon being very enthusiast in Architecture as it is today. Known as an architect who consistently pushes the boundaries of architecture and urban design, her work experiments with new spatial concepts intensifying existing urban landscapes and encompassing all fields of design, from the urban scale to interiors, furniture and so on.

Upon her bizarre desire and fire for architecture, Zaha Hadid has intrigued what has come to the most well known architect in the world by her magnificent work no one could top-notched her. buildings such as Maggie's CentresGuangzhou Opera HouseHeydar Aliyev Cultural Center  were arguably my favorite buildings designed by the mastermind herself.

Maggie's Centres set to be designed for the course of cancer patients to be treated.

the exterior and interior of the Guangzhou Opera house.

heydar aliyev cultural center.

In all seriousness, I had to admit that it would take decades or even centuries to find someone as great as the mighty Zaha Hadid. Truth be told that I have a whole lot of things to redefine my love for archtecture once again and i know who is the prime example that I'll be able to think of next time.

The Ultimate four

7/12/2016

For the past 4/5 weeks or so, there lies a group of four people working relentlessly for their group assignments upon proving their lecturer wrong of what they can produce out as a group, hence the subject had to be involved with metal wires to create a sculpture(animal) out of it. the theme they had in mind was none other than komodo dragon, previously was a Llama but it was then rejected. despite causing them tons of effort purchasing the materials for the sculpture and also time management, it was all worth the wait as they continued to press on progressing the sculpture...

sketches and measurements for the komodo dragon (sculpture).

rings of metal wires transcended towards ligaments/legs for the komodo dragon.

final progression on the komodo dragon, covering up the skeleton with metal wires.

komodo dragon being exhibited outside for showcase with other sculptures.

progression of initiating the sculpture with create rings of metal wires.

the head, body and legs attached for producing the skeleton of the komodo dragon.

final outcome of the komodo dragon.

The ultimate four displaying with their sculpture with happy faces.

Throughout the progression and the final outcome, the ultimate four didn't realise they had surpassed everyone's expectations of their metal wire sculpture with flying colors, including the lecturer himself. Among all the group submissions on their project, the group had achieved the highest mark among everyone leaving the rest of the people stunned and proving them that all it takes is to be serious with their work and managing time, hence mitigating the word "procrastination" in their mindset.

It's that time of the year

27/12/2016

Who doesn't like the favorite festive season of the year? Christmas it is, well certainly not me even though it doesn't snow in Malaysia but it doesn't matter with the fact of how we actually celebrate as a whole. Well for me throughout the past years, my church(City Harvest Church KL) has always been celebrating upon candlelight service on christmas eve to countdown before the timer hits midnight to celebrate together.

Every year, designs have been on-going with changes upon the theme for the celebration, despite everything being changing it is certain that the sole purpose of us celebrating remains, that is to come together as one upon the birth of Jesus Christ.

before ending the last chapter

31/12/2016

Towards the last day of 2016, me and my friends went onto a mini one day journey towards Genting Highlands before preparing ourselves to open a new book and creating new chapters in the upcoming new year. upon our arrival, we went to a few place to explore and end up spending most of our time enjoying the life in the wilderness filled with chilling touch of cooling weather hence accpeting the risk of our lives by visiting forsakened places such as abandonded construction sites. before i could even realise, the thought immediately came upon me streaming down in my mindset, saying that "art and design doesn't have to be structured but to relentlessly keep creating in many diverse form and ways"
